Though this states "furloughed September 20, 1864" The original handwritten document from the Army Medical Museum states furloughed September 30th.1 The latter makes more sense as a letter addressed to the Governor of Maine sent from the hospital is dated September 22, 1864.2

Sadly the catheter pictured here has been lost from the museum.
